Divvy Bikes by Rajiv Shah
This project visualizes Divvy bikes on July 1st, 2014 in Chicago. While the Divvy bike data includes hundreds of thousands of trips, this visualization selected 27 bikes on July 1st with over 10 trips. The data was found at the Divvy Bikes web site.
The goal is to show how Divvy bikes travel across the city.
The raw data includes only the start and end locations for each trip. The routes shown here are based on the routes using Google's Directions API. As a result, these are not the actual routes taken by the bikes. Additionally, bikes are sometimes moved between stations, this is shown with a moving marker, but no trip marker line.
This visualization is based on Chris's Whong's NYC Taxis: A Day in the Life
